Milarepa (c. 1052–c. 1135) is one of Tibet's most renowned yogis and poets, celebrated for his remarkable journey from a troubled youth to spiritual enlightenment. After enduring personal tragedies and committing grievous acts in his early life, he sought redemption under the guidance of his teacher, Marpa the Translator. Through years of rigorous meditation in solitary mountain retreats, Milarepa attained profound realization, composing numerous songs that convey deep spiritual insights.
