Thousand-Armed Chenrezig Photo

Avalokitesvara (or Chenrezig) is a bodhisattva who richly embodies the compassion of all Buddhas. In this color photograph, his hands are cradling a wish-fulfillling jewel at his heart to symbolize his bodhicitta ~ the selfless love for all sentient beings. Chenrezig inspires us to practice the deep inner transformation of our negative qualities, thereby purifying ourselves through the meditative process.
