The UV5R Gen 3 shares some features with the UV5R with some great upgrades. This model has 8 watts from the up from the standard 5 Watt. They will come factory unlocked for use in commercial bands like fire department frequencies.  8 Watt transmit power Tri-power 1 watt/ 5 watt/ 8 watt Large backlit display Includes battery, charger, antenna, and headphones. If you choose the programming option, I will use your shipping zip code to program local ham radio towers and program FRS/ GMRS frequencies. You can listen on these frequencies legally but cannot transmit without a license. The program option is $29 added to the price of the radio. I can only program radios purchased on my site.
