Attack Squadron 195 (VA-195) DAMBUSTERS
Our unique oval shaped coin recognizes and commemorates the period of February 1970 to April 1985 when the VA-195 DAMBUSTERS flew the A7E Corsair II. On the obverse/front side is a full color squadron emblem from this particular era along with gold wings to represent naval aviators and grey wings to represent enlisted aviation warfare specialists. The reverse/back side includes images of the A7E, the squadron's homeport of Naval Air Station Lemoore, CA, and all of the carriers VA-195 deployed with during the A7E era: the USS KITTY HAWK (CV-63), USS RANGER (CV-61), and USS AMERICA (CV-66).
