Probably the port most often visited by ships and sailors of the U.S. SIXTH Fleet, Naples, Italy is now part of our Liberty Call series. Depicted on the obverse/front side of this 2'' antique bronze coin is the majestic Mt. Vesuvius, a highly detailed rendering of Castel Nuovo and a remarkable image of USS MT WHITNEY (LCC-20), flagship of the Commander Sixth Fleet.  On the reverse/back side is a colorful map of Italy with the SIXTH Fleet emblem annotating the approximate location of Naples/Gaeta.  Since Naples is frequently the starting point for a number of visitor day trips, images of Pompeii and Sorrento/Amalfi are depicted.  As with all of our Liberty Call series coins, we have tried to incorporate the best images we could to accurately depict a “typical” day of liberty in Naples.  Obviously there are many other images and memorable sites to others since there is a large concentration of all branches of the U.S. and NATO Forces but we have tried to focus this coin primarily on Na
