Yves Saint Laurent continued the Dior tradition of elegant construction and this beautiful dress, designed in France for a London client, is a wonderful example of his genius. Garments with this rare label are couture made for women who could not go in for multiple fittings in Paris. It is easy to see the level of quality in this piece; there is gorgeous detailing throughout. The strapless bodice has full interior corset style boning to keep everything in place flawlessly. I adore the sculpted high-waist and center rosette appliqué which was a signature in this collection.
