The 2019 Stanley Cup Final was contested between the St. Louis Blues and the Boston Bruins in a best-of-seven series. Poetically, this championship was also a rematch to their last Finals appearance in 1970, where the Bruins swept them 4-0. This time the Blues were up for the challenge. The series was a battle, and went the full seven games. In Game 1, the Bruins came back from an 0-2 deficit to win with 4 unanswered points. In Game 2, the Blues won 3-2 in overtime. The Bruins outscored the Blues 7-2 to take Game 3, and the Blues responded by taking Game 4 and Game 5. The Bruins won Game 6 with the score 5-1, forcing Game 7. St. Louis could not be denied.
