[POD] MSU - SPARTY STATUE (UNISEX)

The Spartan Statue, aka Sparty, is one of the most iconic images at Michigan State University.The creator, Leonard Jungwirth (a Michigan native), began this project in 1943. It started as a small clay sketch, evolved into a 3-foot tall model, and, due to the lack of metal during war time, eventually became the world's largest free-standing ceramic sculpture. However, as time wore on and repairs from harsh Michigan winters became problematic, the sculpture would have a mold cast for a more weather withstanding bronze Sparty.
