Birch Panel

Birch panels are known for their lightweight construction, which makes them an optimal choice for large paintings. Birch and other wood panels are a great option for painting techniques that require more support and rigidity than stretched canvas provides. You can paint with confidence on our ¼” thick birch panels knowing that the panels will not cause your paintings to crack or stretch over time.   Framing Recommendation: Frames with a traditional mount: Birch panels of any size fits securely with any of our traditionally mounted frames.  This style of frame displays the artwork by it being placed directly behind the wood, covering 1/4" of the outside edge of the panel. Frames with a floated panel: Our floated frame design accommodates Birch board panels for smaller sizes.  If your panel is larger than 16" and you are using a floated frame, we recommend selecting one of our cradled Birch panels.
