Lagille Champagne Brut Grande Reserve NV

Country: France Region: Champagne Type: Champagne Grape: Pinot Meunier/Pinot Noir/Chardonnay Located on a small hillside minutes west of Vrigny and Reims, Maude and Vincent Lagille farm 6 hectares of certified organic vines, dominated by Pinot Meunier with lesser proportions of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. All fruit is hand-harvested and brought to the family's ancient basket press in small wicker baskets. Juice is barrel fermented and wine aged on lees for a minimum of five years. The result is a range of incredibly complex, detailed, layered and deep wines that never fail to impress.  Aromatics of brioche, honeysuckle and sourdough yeast are echoed by energetic acidity, orange and lemon citrus fruit notes.
