Ficus carica 'Texas Everbearing' The Texas Everbearing Fig is said to bear fruit almost all summer. It is in some ways like the Brown Turkey, but has slightly larger fruit. This high-quality fig is excellent for preserves. Self-pollinating Note: Not quite as cold-hardy in this area as some other figs. However, you can improve its chances by cutting the tips of each branch or limb about 6 inches, which will allow sap to flow out the end. This will help the tree withstand winter temperatures. * Deer May Browse *  Photo courtesy of Toms Creek Nursery in Denton, NC Ornamental Characteristics Category Fruit Tree Foliage Type Deciduous Height 10' - 15' Spread 8' - 12' Shape Upright & Spreading Primary Foliage Color Dark Green Seasonal Foliage Color Sheds its leaves in the Autumn Flowering Season Spring Flower Color Insignificant Fruit Large Environmental Characteristics Growth Rate Moderate Sun Preferences Sun to partial shade Water Preferences Aver
