In the Tongxinshe Teahouse, where the aroma of tea lingers, every tea utensil seems to be telling a unique story. The "Xiaoshiquan" 100cc purple clay teapot made by Mr. Hui Xiangyun is undoubtedly a shining treasure among them.   "The place is so wonderful that worldly affairs are forgotten. When I'm at leisure, I reminisce about the passage of time. In the late clear sky, the wind blows through the bamboo; in the late night, the moon shines upon the flowers. The chaotic stones tell that the spring is gurgling, and the overgrown moss makes the path slant. I indulge in the joy of the qin and wine, forgetting that I'm in the mountain home." The leisurely artistic conception depicted in this poem is just like the feeling brought by the "Xiaoshiquan". It is not just a teapot, but also a work of art that integrates historical charm and exquisite craftsmanship, and an indispensable companion for tea lovers when they savor tea.   Mr. Hui Xiangyun comes from an extraordinary background. As the 15th generation descendant of Hui Mengchen, a renowned purple clay teapot maker in the Ming Dynasty, he has inherited the family's purple clay teapot making skills that have been passed down for hundreds of years. The name of Hui Mengchen shines brightly in the long history of purple clay teapots. The purple clay teapots with the Mengchen mark enjoyed a great reputation in the southern regions and were even sold to Europe. They were among the earliest purple clay teapots to go overseas and had a profound influence on the early teapot making industry in Europe. According to the genealogy of the Hui family, Hui Mengchen lived in the late Ming Dynasty. He didn't make zhu ni (vermilion clay) teapots at the beginning. Later, at the request of wealthy merchants in Chaoshan area, to meet the needs of making gongfu tea, he made zhu ni teapots. Unexpectedly, these became his representative works. Moreover, Guangdong merchants introduced the tea-drinking habit to the UK. The classic pear-shaped teapots of Hui Mengchen can be seen in the shadow of the silver tea sets of the British royal family, which fully shows his influence.   Mr. Hui Xiangyun was born in Yixing, the holy land of purple clay, in 1968. He learned teapot making from his father since childhood and later studied under He Daohong, a master of Chinese ceramic art. With a solid foundation and outstanding craftsmanship, he has stood out in the purple clay industry. He has a deep understanding of purple clay and is honored as the "Master of Purple Clay in the Folk" by collectors. Jin Yong once inscribed "Hui Xiangyun's Precious Purple Clay Ware" for him, and Master Qi Gong personally wrote "Xiangyun's Teapot Art Dares to Climb the Peak", which is undoubtedly a high recognition of his skills.   Since the 1990s, Mr. Hui Xiangyun has had a forward-looking vision. Concerned about the excessive mining of purple clay resources, he began to collect high-quality clay resources vigorously, and was thus jokingly called the "Clay Collector" by people in the industry. The "Xiaoshiquan" is made of the old zhu ni clay collected by the "Clay Collector". With a capacity of 100cc, it is small and exquisite, and is a perfect item for savoring tea and appreciating. His craftsmanship is proficient and rhythmic. The spout of the teapot, whether long or short, is straight and vigorous, with a distinctive feature that is different from others. The body of the teapot is lustrous and smooth, thin and light, with smooth and round lines, perfectly demonstrating the style characteristics of the Mengchen teapot. At the same time, it pursues development while inheriting and pursues changes while developing.   Using the "Xiaoshiquan" to make tea, it is an excellent tool for pouring tea. The capacity of 100cc is just right, which can fully stimulate the aroma and taste of the tea leaves. Whether it is the mellow black tea, the fragrant green tea, or the rich oolong tea, the "Xiaoshiquan" can perfectly match them, bringing tea lovers an excellent tea-tasting experience.   In the Tongxinshe Teahouse, when you hold this "Xiaoshiquan" in your hand, make a cup of fragrant tea, and feel the tea soup slowly flowing out of the teapot, you seem to be able to touch the purple clay inheritance of hundreds of years and experience Mr. Hui Xiangyun's love and dedication to purple clay. It is not only a purple clay teapot with high collection value but also a cultural inheritance and a pursuit of a better life. If you are also a purple clay teapot enthusiast or eager to find a good teapot to accompany you in savoring the aroma of tea, then the "Xiaoshiquan" by Mr. Hui Xiangyun in the Tongxinshe Teahouse is definitely worth adding to your collection.
