"White Morning"

ca. 1999Solo - 2011I’ve told the story many times that this song was written in the wake of the Y2K hysteria. In truth, it was written in preparation for it. I was going through a debilitating break up and allowed myself to wallow in some of the darker corners of my mind. I imagined letting go completely, not in a morbid way, just peacefully. “White Morning” was by no means a suicide letter but writing it afforded me a glimpse at whatever solace one might find by intentionally checking out of this strange ass place.
