Winged Heaven Messenger

Often seen as omens, objects of worship and forecasters of weather and trouble, birds are messengers. Feathers are a symbol of ascendance, flight, communication with the spirit realm and the element of air. Feathers are the symbol of trust, honor, strength, wisdom, power, and freedom. They say "light as a feather" which is a delicate nod to the life lived in balance. What is inside of us, must be outside of us, uniting heaven and earth. These feathers are made up of central shaft with hundreds of filaments held together by an intricate arrangement of barbs and scales. A single wing feather can be made up of more than a million parts. The flight feathers are strong and vaned. They can be sacred objects. They can help us connect to the empathy and ethereal energies of life. They can be a physical expression of reverence and prayer or they can be a tool for healing and protection. This is a talisman to be worn to protect the wearer.   According to Black Elk, ‘The most important of all the
