Vietnam War French Army Reproduction Algeria Indochina Campaign M51 M53 M56 Helmet Liner Cotton Olive Drab 3 Herring Bone Twill HBT Single Weave Suspension Webbing – Needle Loom   Reproduction French Army M51 M53 M56 helmet liner cotton olive drab 3 herring bone twill HBT suspension material.  It is an excellent replication and adorned our restored original liners the first few year of our business.  It is the standard single weave pattern 20 mm wide HBT M1 liner suspension webbing, but with a slightly wider rib (space) between the weaves, which has been found on SOME US WWII era liner suspensions. This material is needle loomed manufactured webbing, which means it was made on a modern loom, which leaves a distinctive line on one side of the webbing.  This is totally different to true WWII era shuttle loom helmet chin strap material, which portrays a beautiful raw edge appearance on both sides.  To get around this, we applied a catch-stitch, which hides the tell-tale need loom line o
