Beginner - Tote Bag with Exterior Pocket

A tote bag is the perfect beginner project for anyone ready who would love to learn to sew and make something super useful that you can use every day! In this class we'll use the Purl Soho Railroad Tote pattern, but we change it a bit and add a lining, because bags with lining are the best!  This introductory class will break down the basics how to use a sewing machine and make an excellent tote bag that you can use everyday.  Skills you will learn:  The parts of a sewing machine and how to use it How to sew corners How to sew boxed corners How to sew an exterior pocket How to line a tote bag How to topstitch webbing handles onto your bag  Skills expected: None!  Materials: We make it easy on you! You can purchase a materials kit for this class. You'll have a choice of fabrics for each class. Just choose in-store pickup at checkout, but you'll actually pick out and receive the materials at class.  If you don't get a supply kit, you will need: 1.5 yards of medium weight woven fabric
