Kids Sewing Foundations

Kids 8 -12 years join us for 6 sessions of learning to sew & getting creative by making handmade projects!  Kids in this sewing series will get a great foundation of sewing skills and make some really fun projects along the way. We now have quite a few kids who have taken this series already, so the projects may vary and build on ones we've already covered, depending on who signs up. But if your child is starting from scratch, that is okay too. We'll cover how to use the machine for anyone who has not already learned and it will be a refresher for those who have. In this series the kids will also work on a variety of projects that are adjacent to sewing such as upcycling, embroidery, textile art, etc. At the end of each session, the instructor will let the kids know what the next project will be.  Skills your teen will learn:  How to understand a sewing machine How to use sewing supplies like pins and clips The concept of seam allowance How to sew / make a variety of projects with
