Intermediate - Quilted Ilford Jacket
Autumn is coming, which means we’re getting ready to start sewing for cooler temps! We’ll be using the adaptable The Ilford Jacket to make a quilted creation. It's a great skill building pattern that allows you to level up your skills as you sew a collar, placket, patch pockets, buttonholes and buttons. And it's a unisex pattern, perfect for everyone. You’ll learn how to create a compelling design, make pieced and machine quilted panels (option to hand quilt), and construct your jacket with bias binding. This class will be co-taught by Lisa and Aaronica. 1st class - Lisa will lead a discussion on design. You’ll receive the pattern and start cutting out blocks 2nd class - Start sewing panels together. Homework: finish sewing panels 3rd class (2 weeks later) - Learn how to machine quilt or hand quilt your panels. Homework: finish quilting your panels 4th class (2 weeks later) - Aaronica will guide how to start jacket construction 5th class - Finish jacket There will be an optional 2 hr
