In this all levels hand stitching class, we'll be exploring techniques to use hand sewing, embroidery and sashiko as a way of visibly mending garments. We'll provide all of the materials needed (aside from a garment!) to learn a few methods of visible mending. No experience necessary to enjoy this class. Skills you will learn You'll learn essential embroidery stitches and spacing techniques used in embroidery and sashiko. Skills expected: None, just an open mind. Materials needed: A garment, such as denim or a wool sweater, that you would like to mend. Materials provided: Thread, snips, needles, marking tools. Max number of people for class: 8
