Antique Blue Ocean Waves Quilt, circa 1820

- Dimensions: 71" x 72" - A true work of art, this Ocean Waves Quilt dates to the 1820's and is composed of tiny triangles cut from a kaleidoscope of patterned blue fabrics. True to its name, this pattern gives off a beautiful rippling effect, believed to be inspired by the ever-changing tides of the New England coastline. - We especially love the splash of red polka dots sprinkled throughout this quilt in several triangles. An indigo calico band frames this piece in a perfect square. - This quilt is in excellent vintage condition with a few scattered, light stains.
