Published in 1971, this is the legendary British decorator's fifth book on his singular and ever-cool design philosophy. A superstar whose oeuvre included homes for royalty (like Prince Charles), celebrities, and magnates, David Hicks' interiors still reverberate today. This volume includes lush imagery (we're particularly crazy for the section on his tablescapes) interspersed with practical advice. Hicks remains one of the most revered—and oft-imitated—designers of all time. This book is in very good vintage condition with minor creases and a small tear to its dust jacket, which is protected in a plastic sleeve. There is spotting to its endpaper and title page, please see our detailed photos. With their graphic covers and original text, the series of design tomes that Hicks published in the late 1960's and early 1970's are true collector's items. We are offering 5 volumes, each sold separately.
