Indication Used for treatment of infections caused by sensitive micro-organisms: genitourinary tract infections, upper and lower respiratory tract infections, otitis, sinusitis, gastrointestinal tract infections, typhoid fever, Pneumocystis carinii pneumonitis. Ingredient Sulfamethoxazole 400mg Trimethoprim 80mg Direction BIBACTIN® tablet of 480 mg: Adult: 2 tablets, twice per day with a 12-hour interval. In case of severe infections: 3 tablets, twice per day. Special cases: acute uncomplicated urinary tract infections / Pneumocystis carinii pneumonitis / renal impairment: the dose is as directed by your doctor’s prescription. Side effects The most common observed: gastrointestinal disturbances (nausea, vomiting) and skin reactions (skin rash, urticaria). PREGNANCY AND BREAST-FEEDING: Ask for your doctor’s advice. Consult your doctor or pharmacist prior to starting or stopping a new medication
