It is made in Japan by artisans and imported to the United States. The look of the boxes are all original as each ones have a unique wooden patterns to them. There is not a single product that would look the same. Hinoki cypress has a strong and refreshing scent so this adds natural flavor to the candle even without fragrance. Our box uses high quality Tounou Hinoki cypress from the Gifu Prefecture which is known to have a strong scent.Scent is marked in Japanese, stating Muki, and it is carefully hand pressed with a branding iron.
