A Hindu legend in the Brahma Vaivarta Purana recalls the creation of conchs: the god Shiva flung a trident towards the asuras(evil gods), burning them instantaneously. Their ashes flew in the sea creating conchs. Thus, the conch shell is a major Hindu article of prayer, used as a trumpet and in order to get rid of negative energy and evil spirits. Materials: Original, signed acrylic painting on canvas. Size: 20" x 20" Frame details: unframed on ¾"profile canvas with painted sides, eliminating the need for framing altogether. If preferred, can be framed using a standard frame or floater frame. All art sales are final.
