Weymann Orchestra Style No. 2
This is an early model of the Orchestra Style No.2 built by Weymann in Philadelphia, PA in the 1920's. Neck - The neck is made of "birds-eye" maple with 5 piece center strip and multiple colored laminated backstrap. The ebony fingerboard has 7 delicate pearl inlays and 5 piece laminted underlay. It has the standard Weymann inlays on the peghead. Rim - features the "Megaphonic" shape that is the hallmark of the Weymann brand, a heavy nickle plated brass tone ring tops the rim. It also has a maple "pop-off" resonator. The "neck brace and adjuster" lets you easily adjust the action height. Setup - This is setup for Irish trad in GDAE tuning. Case - A non original case is included. Notes - The frets are in great shape and the banjo plays well. There are modern geared tuners installed. This is in good overall condition.
