Amethyst Basilisk or Dragon Pendant | Antique Pin Conversion

Basilisks are legendary creatures known as the King of Serpents. They are portrayed in sculpture and literature as enormous snakes with the head of a cockatrice and poisonous breath. This tantalizing pendant depicts a winged basilisk encircling a deep purple amethyst. The 14k gold charm was originally an antique stick pin (circa 1900-1910) transformed by removing the pin stem and welding on a 14k gold jump ring bail. The charm measures 1 inch from top to bottom by 0.5 inches wide, and it is in great condition. Materials: Amethyst, Gold.
