Maple Garden Dibber

  A garden dibber for seed, bulb, and seedling planting. We tested our dibber in our Northeast Pennsylvania clay and rocky soil, and it performed beautifully.        - Hard maple for durability        - Protected by multiple coats of a durable outdoor finish        - Handle design fits comfortably in your hand        - 11-1/4" long by 1-1/2" in diameter at the thickest part of the handle        - 1 inch gradations        - Two dibbers with some garden twine make great garden markers   After several iterations hand carving dibbers with ergonomic angles that ended up not being very easy to use, I moved to my mid-sized lathe to turn an old-fashioned straight dibber. I took some maple spindles I had lying around,  cut them to size, and started turning free hand.  The pointed end was the easy part.  It was the handle that took a few tries.  On my fifth attempt, I was not so much determined as I was stubborn, and with four dibbers of experience under my belt on the fifth try it just looked r
