Internal Ocean

The color of this Mezcalero (mezcal cup) is inspired by the resilience of the agave plant. Agave can grow in both jungle and desert-like environments, where it retains the water from the rainy seasons to survive along with its deep roots. And, in some way, I like to imagine it holding a small ocean inside of itself and providing the plant all it needs on a little desert island.  Handmade and hand-built ceramic mezcal cups *Please note: Each mezcalero is one of a kind in size, shape, trim, and coloring Some imperfections may occur to pieces that are out of the artist's control Why sell products with imperfections or "defects"? Proper handmade products take time, and the artist works out of a co-working studio which may result in imperfections from other artists' work that effects Travis Cermaics' products during the kiln firing process. However, Travis does not sell any pieces he believes are no longer valuable.
