Pechuga

The color of this Mezcalero (mezcal cup) is inspired by the heart of the agave plant called the "pechuga."  After the agave is harvested from the ground, the leaves are chopped off, revealing the silky white heart of the agave. Proper handmade products take time, and the artist works out of a co-working studio which may result in imperfections from other artists' work that effects Travis Cermaics' products during the kiln firing process. However, Travis does not sell any pieces he believes are no longer valuable.
