Pair of ear-clips designed by Aldo Cipullo (1936-1984) for Cartier. Rare geometric round pieces created in New York city by Aldo Cipullo, during the collaboration period with the house of Cartier (1969-1975) as a designer. This pair is from the "Circles" collection, crafted in solid 18 karats yellow gold and suited with omega backs for fastening clips. The posts options for pierced ears can be easily added. The gold parts hug a circular piece carved from natural black onyx gripped from the back with two screws. Embellished with 6 sugar-loaf cabochons cuts of natural green chrysoprase of about 9 carats. Have a total weight of 39.5 grams and a diameter of 30 mm (1.18 inches). Stamped at the reverse, with the serial numbers, the date of production, the gold assay hallmarks and signed, "CARTIER 1972 ALDO CIPULLO 18 KT HYA449".
