*Tiffany & Co 1970's Angela Cummings Oval clips earrings in 18 kt yellow gold with black Jade
Pair of earrings designed by Angela Cummings for Tiffany & Co. Vintage modernist pair of clips-earrings designed by Cummings, back in the 1970's. They are a playful and youthful sculptural pair crafted at the Tiffany & Co studios in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with high polish finish. They are suited with comfortable omega backs for fastening clips and the posts option for pierced ears can be easily added. They are embellished, with a pair of oval cabochon cut carved from natural black jade, with a weight of about 50 carats. The sculptural design create a beautiful color contrast with the gold settings and the jade gemstones, with a reminiscence to the French artist Jean Arp. The weight of this pair is 15.7 grams and the measures are 21 mm by 18 mm. Both are tamped, with the early maker's mark, the gold assay hallmarks, the inventory numbers and signed, "T & CO.
