Fujikura, Dai % Following (2013) - SOLO BSN

Following (2013)for unaccompanied bassoonby Dai Fujikura (b. 1977) - Japanese composer Following was written using materials from my bassoon concerto, which was developed from Calling for solo bassoon, making Following a granddaughter of Calling. However, I myself don't know how much DNA from Calling or the bassoon concerto is in the personality of Following.  In Following, I remember focusing on writing lines rather than the sound of multiphonics of the bassoon like in the other two works. These lines are like the smooth by unique curves of a river with sun reflecting off its surface. Sometimes the river's shape is thin with sharp curves, sometimes it is thick and strong, but the water is always passing calmly. -Dai Fujikura Duration: 4:00
