These same mountains also serve as a home to villagers who depend on Tenzing's forest for survival. Tenzing's region, the PIT corridor of eastern Nepal, is one of the most biodiverse areas on the planet. The PIT corridor of eastern Nepal supports 25 percent of the red panda population of Nepal and plays a vital role in linking protected areas of Nepal and India.
