Dragon Septarian Geode, also known as Dragon Stone, Septarian Nodule, or Septarian Concretion, is a fascinating and unique gemstone that dates back millions of years. Septarian is derived from the Latin word "septum," meaning partition, as the stones often display cracks or separations between their mineral components. The name Dragon Stone has been attributed to its intriguing appearance, which can resemble the scaly skin of a dragon.  The formation of Dragon Septarian Geodes began during the Cretaceous Period, approximately 50 to 70 million years ago. As ancient marine life died, their remains sank to the sea floor, accumulating with other sediments to form a mud ball. Over time, this mud ball experienced a process of dehydration, causing it to crack and harden. Eventually, these cracks filled with minerals such as calcite, aragonite, and limestone, creating the unique patterns seen in Septarian Geodes today.
