
Appaloosa Performance Horse ~ Chief of Fourmile w/ Pin from Eleda's herd
Foundation Appaloosa stallion Chief of Fourmile was a star wherever he went. He was the first three-time Appaloosa National Performance Horse Champion. Born in 1952, he carried the original Appy genes for color and for the sparse tail they used to be known for. As a result, Breyer's tribute model to Chief represents his build very well! The Washington-bred Appy was black with a white blanket, and showed in Western performance classes. The photo here shows him in Native American costume. He sired over a hundred foals and can be found in the pedigrees of many modern Appies.
