Napoleon was both great and terrible, abolishing feudalism but becoming a dictator ruling over all of Europe before losing control of his territory and landing in exile.  He was also an avid horseman, owning up to 150 horses.  Marengo was one of his favorites, mentioned by name and shown in the famous painting of Napoleon crossing the St, Bernard Pass in the Alps. Photo credit; napoleon.org]   Breyer honored Marengo during their Horses In History series with this single year release in 2003.  He is s a flea-bitten grey with shaded mane and tail.   This fellow is Near Mint with only slight age yellowing, two pinpoint rubs on his left front fetlock, and a tiny brown mark inside his left forearm.  He features both chestnut and black roan speckling, faint chestnut shading as well as grey, and neatly hand-painted eye whites.
