Ruffian ~ Rags To Riches

Rags to Riches is a chestnut Thoroughbred who became only the third filly to win the prestigious Belmont Stakes.  Her win in 2007 marked the first time in over a century that a girl had beaten the boys in this longest race of the Triple Crown. She retired from racing in 2008 and is enjoying her time as a broodmare, with a foal to American Pharoah born in 2020 and one to Justify in 2021.
