Silver ~ Black Beauty - QVC SR

This beautiful version of the most famous horse character in the world was only available through QVC home shopping network in 2001.  He has a matte black coat, as well as Black Beauty's iconic single sock and star.  Breyer later did another version as a Web Special, but once you know what to look for, it's easy to tell this original version from the later one:  The QVC release used stencils rather than masking, so the edges of his markings are softer; his coat is black without the silver undertones of the newer one, and he has hand-painted eye whites in front of his eyes (the Web Special has masked ones behind the eyes).  This fellow is Near Mint with just a tiny rub on top of his right forearm and another on that shoulder.  Both should be easy to touch up.  He features a softly stenciled star and the hand-painted eye whites of this early release.   Size:  Traditional Breyer Model #501201
