Polyphaga Sassurei - 12 Count Mixed Size Roaches This roach is also extremely long lived, reaching ages of 5 years or more, extremely docile and tolerant of handling. Females take on a red tinge once reaching sexual maturity and leave ootheca about the enclosure to hatch on their own. They require a dry setup to thrive, and should only have a small section of their setup misted monthly. The giant sand roach is exceptional in that all members of the species are female, reproducing through parthenogenesis.  Does well in leaf little substrate with rotting wood logs.
