100% Grüner Veltliner Sustainable, Native Yeast Niederösterreich, Austria From the importer- After years of creamy, softer wines coming out of the Kamptal, Barbara Öhlzelt presents a whole different narrative of what this region can be. The wines are shockingly linear, hyper-finessed – to the point where even the Grüners have the nimble-footedness of Riesling. The single-vineyard wines are among the greatest deals in SERIOUS Austrian white wines, at a level where they easily play with thegreats (which are often twice the price). The village wines, however, still display Barbara’s ability to shape even more basic wines into something more elegant and finessed. And the Grüner liter, well, if there is a finer liter out there, we haven’t tasted it.
