Sapphire Art Glass & Amethyst Brooch by Elsa Schiaparelli

This Schiaparelli brooch is an exquisite 1950s creation. Because of its abstract design, it can be worn as a pin in any position that appeals to you. Or wear it on a cord as a pendant. This incredible jewel has two large molded, oval glass stones in dog-tooth prongs surrounded by round and navette sapphire- and amethyst-glass stones. The art glass stones have an incredible iridescence (like a fire within), and the color combination is delicious. The setting is silver-tone metal with a roll-over safety clasp.
