Arkansas natural abrasive stones are one of the best natural sharpening stones. They are mined in the mountains of Arkansas, the USA. The stone is supplied without a mounting blank! Arkansas Hard – is a natural sharpening stone. It belongs to microquartzite (novaculite) rocks. It works well on most steels. It has high grain size uniformity and provides a clean finishing. Suitable for pre-finishing and finishing sharpening stages. Specifications: Dimensions: 151х25х6 mm*. Thickness: 6 mm. Grit: 800-1000 grit (JIS scale). Material: novaculite (microcrystalline quartz). Recomendations: Natural Arkansas Hard Stones do not require soaking in water. We recommend to use oil. *Dimensions of natural stone after cutting may vary slightly within ± 5% **Natural Arkansas stones often have color variations which do not affect the sharpening process.
