Richards, Goff - Midnight Euphonium

Difficulty:  III Length:  5:00 This work provides a jazz ballad feeling through its harmonies and melodic style.  There are some challenges to the soloist that include some unusually accidentals and developing the freedom and ease of the style and making the final cadenza section seem like an improvisation.  Control of the high range will be beneficial as the tessitura remains high.  This is a highly recommended work for its short duration and unique melodic and harmonic language.
