Rug Making Workshop

  Want to learn how to use the tufting gun to create amazing textile art? Then Join us for an in-person tufting workshop at our Tufting studio in Old Town Alexandria VA. This is a hands-on instructional class, you will learn to use the tufting machines AKA tufting gun to create a rug or other textile art. We will cover the basics of setting up a tufting frame and backing cloth, threading and operating the tufting machines and how to finish a tufted piece including glue, secondary fabric and trimming. You will work on projects of your own design on a frame that can accommodate pieces 24 x 24 inches.  During the class participants will be able to choose between using Cut or Loop pile tufting machines.
