8 page brochure for the 1970-71 Fall/Winter/Spring season "All Star Cruises To The Mediterranean operated by Simmons All Star Cruises aboard the Italian Line ships ss Michelangelo, ss Raffaello, ss Leonardo Da Vinci, and ss Cristoforo Colombo. The cruise/land tour packages were 19 to 45 days, and 62 sailings were offered aboard the ships. The brochure has photos of the exteriors of the Italian Line ships Raffaelo/Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Cristoforo Colombo, and the Adriaticica Line ship ss Ausonia.  The back cover has small black and white photos of a First Class stateroom on the Michelangelo, and the Raffaelo's First Class dining Room. The brochure has short descriptions of the ships, and describes the cruise/land tour packages.  It lists the sailing dates and itineraries of the different packages with day by day descriptions.  The brochure also lists for the room rates/ tour prices for Cabin Class and First Class rooms. Condition: the brochure was stored folded so there are two horizontal creases running the width of the brochure.  The brochure has a 1/4" long tear at the base of one of the creases, and there is light wear around the staples (see photos). Ship History: The 45,900 ton sister ships Raffaello and Michelangelo were built in 1965 and taken out of service in 1975 when the Italian government ended subsidies.  The Raffaello was sold to Iran in 1976 and served as a floating barracks in Bushehr until 1983 when it was hit by a missile during the Iran-Iraq war and partially sunk. The Michelangelo was sold to Iran in 1977 and served as a floating barracks in Bandar Abbas until it was scrapped in 1991. The 33,300 ton Leonardo Da Vinci was built in 1960 and sailed until 1978 when it was laid up.  The ship caught fire and capsized in 1980 and was scrapped 2 years later. The 29,191 ton Cristoforo Colombo (sister ship of the ill fated Andrea Doria) was built in 1953 and sailed with Italian Line until 1977 when it was sold to the government of Venezuela for use as an accommodation ship.  The ship was scrapped in 1983.
