Norddeutscher Lloyd Bremen Soap Box (Empty) 1960's Norddeutscher Lloyd (North German Lloyd) empty soap box from a 1969 cruise on the TS Bremen.  The front side shows a drawing of the TS Bremen, and the back side shows a drawing of the MS Europa. note: the soap box is empty (no soap). The box is in fair condition with a white mark on the Europa side from where a stamp was removed, and both sides show some light wear. (see photos). The soap box size is 3" x 1.75" x 0.5" (76mm x 44mm x 13mm) History of the Bremen and Europa The Bremen was originally built as the Pasteur for Compagnie de Navigation Sud-Atlantique and sailed with them from 1939-1957 (with a stint during World War ll from 1940-46 when it was operated by the UK government as a troop ship and hospital ship). North German Lloyd bought the ship in 1957 and renamed it Bremen and operated it until 1972 when it was sold to Chandris and renamed the Regina Magna.
