St John's Flower Agate - Rectangular Focal Bead

This St John's Flower agate is crafted into a rectangular stone pendant piece. It has a deep red flower inclusions within a distinct white matrix. The hole is designed for front to back mounting, but works with side mounting as well. This material originates from St. Johns, northeastern Arizona. The isolated Flower Agate area is no longer open for collecting, resulting in a very limited supply. This was a popular material with the Anazasi Indians in this area. They were inhabitants approximately 800 to 1,000 years ago and carved arrowheads and tools from this beautiful agate.
