The Great Gatsby Cotton Shirt with White Collar and Double Cuffs
As the quintessential Jazz Age dreamer with an eye for style and an unparalleled level of charm, Jay Gatsby is one of literature's most renowned characters. The novel from which he came, F Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, directly referenced T&A in a now-iconic scene which sees Gatsby fling his shirts in the air while his beloved Daisy cries because she has 'never seen such beautiful shirts before'. Therefore it seemed natural that when the book was re-imagined on the silver screen for the first time in 1974, T&A was the first port of call to create the eponymous protagonist's shirt and tie. The Gatsby shirt comes in a blue fine micro check and is finished with a rounded collar and double cuffs in contrasting white, in line with the classic style of the 1920s when the story is set.
