Sleeves Course Level 1: Basic Ballet Sleeves: Puffs and Ruffles

Course Description: In Basic Ballet Sleeves, you'll learn how to make traditional ballet sleeve puffs and ruffles using soft tulle and chiffon. These are the basic, undecorated sleeves used for classical and romantic ballets. You will have patterns and instructions for the sleeves taught in class to take home with you so you can make many sleeves for your costumes. Want to make the sleeves in class for a specific dancer? Bring her bicep measurement and you can do it! Prerequisites: Clothes or costume sewing experience; machine and hand-sewing skills. Course Length: 3 hours - one evening.
