It is a tightly-woven, but lightweight fabric with a strong, dense structure that can withstand daily wear and tear well, making it an excellent choice that works well for ballet bodices, peasant skirts, etc. Best used lined with coutil since it is a lightweight fabric.  It is not silk, but has the same elegant look. Plus, it is a stronger weave and stands up to sweat and partnering work much better than its' silk counterpart. Need larger quantities?
